Our Story
Shayley and Brett here, co- owners of Southern Bliss Event Company. We are both Fightin’ Texas Aggies Class of 2017 and 2014! We love our Aggies and wear our Aggie bling with pride.
Southern Bliss was created in 2023, but rest assured that this isn't our first rodeo. Before we decided to start our own company, we coordinated/planned over 120 weddings throughout Brazos Valley and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on being very organized, detail-oriented, and personable with our brides and grooms. By paying close attention to detail, we ensure that every aspect of the wedding is handled and that couples may enjoy their special day without worrying about anything.

Get To Know Us More
Due to my extensive involvement with the A&M Athletic Department, I actually began by organizing sporting activities. I truly missed it once I graduated, so I gave wedding and event planning a try, and I've never looked back. I love seeing you smiling and having fun. When you and your loved ones are enjoying themselves, it really makes it all worth it.
I am a dog mom of two hoping to one day buy some land to have a little farm of my own. I enjoy playing and watching sports of all kinds. If there's not a good game on, you will find me enjoying the outdoors or going to see live music.
After we have our final details meeting, I love putting together the timeline. I thoroughly enjoy coordinating with the vendors and you to see how the order of events fit together. It’s like a puzzle!

Favorite wedding movie: 27 dresses! I can't even begin to count how many weddings I've attended.
Favorite thing about weddings: The groom’s face as the bride comes down the aisle and getting to listen to toasts.

I found my love for planning weddings after planning my very own in 2019, but I have been a part of the industry for over 10 years, from bartending, modeling dresses, and coordinating weddings. This has helped me understand the planning side of each vendor's job to ensure your day goes smoothly.
My husband and I now live on 16 acres in Brenham with our 2 little girls, Hunter and Blakely along with my 2 fur babies, Bella and Moose. One day we will have a farm full of miniature animals and alpacas.
At our meetings with brides, you can bet that I'll have a Dr. Pepper and a case full of colorful pens in my hand. I have a slight obsession with color-coding everything.

Favorite thing about weddings: I love decorating weddings for brides. Give me your ideas and I would love to make them come to life! During the ceremony, I love looking at the groom when the bride walks down the aisle.
